These terms cover Octo Security: the website, your account, your plan and the licenses that come with it. The agreement is between you and Sora Atlas LLC, an Oregon limited liability company that trades as Octo Security. We call the company "we", "us" or "our".
Sora Atlas LLC is the seller of every plan on this site. No other company sells you an Octo Security plan. Notices can be sent to Sora Atlas LLC, 452 Cumberland Dr, Grants Pass, OR 97527, United States.
By completing checkout, creating an account or using a product, you accept these terms. If the law where you live gives you stronger rights, those rights still apply.
Octo Security sells and manages personal-use licenses for six kinds of protection: antivirus, web protection, VPN, password management, identity monitoring and cloud storage. The plan also includes Octo+ extras, smaller privacy and tune-up tools that we add over time.
Specialist apps run the protection on your devices. We run the purchase, your account, license access, renewals and first-line support. Before you install or activate an app, your account names the company that makes it and links to any terms of its own.
You must be at least 18, able to enter a contract, and give accurate account and billing details. Plans are for personal or household use. We currently sell in the United States.
There is one plan. It costs $14.95 a month, includes every product, and is billed monthly. The total, taxes, seller and renewal terms shown at checkout form part of this agreement, so please read them before you confirm.
A purchase is complete when payment is accepted and we send an order confirmation. If a technical or pricing error prevents us from fulfilling the order, we may cancel it and return what you paid.
The confirmation email sets out your order, the renewal terms and how to cancel, and links to these terms and our Refund Policy.
Your plan renews automatically every month until you cancel. Checkout shows the price, the billing period and that the plan renews, and asks you to agree to the renewal right above the button that places the order.
Every renewal is charged at the same $14.95 as your first month. There is no introductory price. We email you before each charge with the amount, the date and how to cancel, and your account always shows the next renewal date.
You authorise the payment provider shown at checkout to charge your chosen payment method for the first month and each renewal. That provider's own terms and privacy notice also apply to its processing.
We only charge the payment method you chose for your plan. If a payment fails, we may retry the same method, ask you to update it, or pause access after reasonable notice. We never charge for anything you did not agree to at checkout.
If the price ever changes
We change the price of a plan you already hold only for a valid reason: a change in what our software or payment providers charge us, a change in tax or law, or a material improvement to the plan. We email you 30 days before a new price applies, with the old price, the new price, the start date and how to cancel. If you cancel before that date, the new price is never charged.
Cancel from your account in one click, without contacting anyone. You can also email support@octosecurity.com.
Cancelling stops the next renewal. You keep access until the end of the month you already paid for. Cancelling on its own is not a refund request; see our Refund Policy.
Your plan gives you a limited, personal, non-exclusive and non-transferable right to use the included products for as long as your plan runs, within the device and storage allowance your account shows. Do not publish, resell or share a license, or try to generate one outside your account.
Some products need a separate app that comes with end-user terms of its own. Availability can depend on that app maker's systems, supported platforms and reasonable changes to its product. If an app stops working for you, contact us and we will fix it or offer an alternative.
Keep your sign-in details private and tell us quickly if you suspect someone else is using your account. You are responsible for activity in your account unless it results from our failure to take reasonable security measures.
You must not:
- use the service unlawfully or to harm anyone;
- get around plan, device, storage or technical limits;
- interfere with the security or availability of the service;
- reverse engineer software, except where the law expressly allows it;
- use false payment or identity details.
No antivirus, VPN, identity monitor, backup or password manager can guarantee perfect protection, complete anonymity, constant availability or recovery from every incident. Octo makes the common threats much harder; it cannot stop every one.
Keep your devices and apps updated, turn on two-step sign-in where you can, and keep your own copies of anything you cannot lose. Nothing in this section affects your statutory rights as a consumer.
The Octo Security website, brand, documentation and our own tools belong to us or are licensed to us. Specialist apps belong to the companies that make them. These terms transfer no ownership to you.
Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, for intent or gross negligence, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be limited.
We are responsible for direct losses that are a reasonably foreseeable result of our breach. As far as the law allows, we are not responsible for indirect or unforeseeable losses, business losses on a personal plan, or loss caused by misuse, unsupported setups, or a third-party service outside our reasonable control.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms for legal, security or service reasons. We email subscribers about a material change at least 30 days before it takes effect, and you can cancel free of charge before then.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Oregon, and disputes may be brought in the state or federal courts located in Oregon. If you are a consumer, you keep the protection of the mandatory laws of the place where you live, and you may bring a claim in your home courts.
